Ahobhilamis a town also known as Ahobalam is located in the Allagaddamandal in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh. This place is believed in the place where Lord Vishnu has taken the Narasimha avatar blessed Prahlada and killed his demon father Hiranyakashipu.

The Nava NarasimhaKshetra is a temple that has nine forms of Narasimha. The temple is situated among the three Prakaras, built in the Vijayanagar style of architecture. This temple has two sections, the lower Ahobilam and the upper Ahobilam. The Ahobilam is the place where Lord Vishnu appeared from the stone pillar in the form of Narasimha Avatar to kill Hiranyakashipu and the name of this pillar is UgraSthambha. The Upper Ahobolam is one can see the angry form of Lord Narasimha. In the lower AhobilamNarasimha Swami with Goddess Lakshmi is in a peaceful form. In this place you can see exclusive stone art.

The temple complex also had temples for AdivanSathagopulu. The sculptures of Lord Srirama (SreeramaPattabhishekha) and the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu known Dasavatharas are found on the walls. You can also visit the Nine temples of Nava Narasimha near the Ahobalam.
